The moment I saw you, I thought you were such a beautiful person. Moreso than anyone I’ve ever laid eyes on. But I didn’t know you much about you. So you were a beautiful stranger, a mystery I was dying to figure out. It’s a shame I hesitated. It’s unfortunate you did too. We settled to be mere acquaintances. That was nearly 4 years ago. It’s funny how things have turned out the way they did. But in a strange sense, you were always lingering in the my mind even back then. Like I somehow knew we were going to be more than acquaintances. I just wasn’t quite sure at the time. I can’t believe I let you slip through my fingers now. Can you imagine how different things would be? Nonetheless—Things were meant to happen this way. You were meant to leave, and I was never meant to have you. But we were meant to leave a mark in each other’s lives. Though the reasons are seemingly unclear right now…Things were meant to be hard, never easy. Disoriented and foggy, never clear at first. It’ll be clear as glass one day. You say that you don’t know what to do.. Do whatever makes you happy. Because in the end, that’s all that matters. Just know that I’ll be here to hold you up when you’re down.

This was written on April 29, 2009. (In)directed to my husband. He may or may’ve not known it at the time..But it was back when we were “just friends”, or that awkward situation where it’s like, “I like you, I know you’re feelin’ me too, but I can’t be with you, soap-opera-type-shit”. Oh, and he was getting ready to leave for basic training. We’ve been married for 15 months today. It’s amazing how things have changed over time.

On another note: I kinda miss having a xanga. :(
